Frozen dumplings layered with marinara, ricotta, and mozzarella for a viral fusion twist on classic lasagna.

Ingredients
  

30-36 frozen dumplings or potstickers
3 cups marinara sauce
15 oz ricotta cheese
1 egg
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
fresh basil, for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Baking dish
  • 1 Mixing bowl

Method
 

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
    Step 2: Mix the ricotta with egg, salt, and Italian seasoning.
      Step 3: Spread a thin layer of marinara in the dish, then a layer of frozen dumplings.
        Tip: No need to thaw the dumplings first.
          Step 4: Add ricotta mixture, more marinara, and a sprinkle of mozzarella.
            Step 5: Repeat layers, ending with marinara, mozzarella, and parmesan on top.
              Step 6: Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes, then uncover and bake 10 to 15 minutes more, until golden.
                Step 7: Let rest 10 minutes, garnish with basil, and serve.

                  Notes

                  Frozen dumplings go straight into the layers with no need to thaw — they cook through fully during baking
