3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tbsp butter, melted
1 cup ricotta cheese
2 cups marinara sauce
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
fresh basil, for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Pie dish or springform pan
  • 1 Skillet
  • 1 Mixing bowl

Method

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a pie dish.
Step 2: Cook the spaghetti until al dente and drain.
Step 3: Toss the warm spaghetti with eggs, parmesan, and butter, then press into the dish to form a crust.
Tip: Toss while the spaghetti is still warm so it binds together properly.
Step 4: Spread ricotta over the spaghetti crust.
Step 5: Brown the beef or sausage with garlic, then stir in marinara and Italian seasoning, simmering 5 minutes.

Step 7: Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until melted and bubbly.
Step 8: Let cool 10 minutes, garnish with basil, slice, and serve.

                    Notes

Toss the spaghetti with egg while it's still warm so it binds together properly to form the crust.
